BERKS CO., PA – The driver of a semi-truck died as the result of a single-vehicle crash that happened on I-78 in Berks County on Friday night.
CBS 21 reports that 61-year-old Donald Gene Hausenfluck of San Antonio, TX, was headed westbound in Upper Bern Township around 11:50 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle somewhere between the Shartlesville and Hamburg exits. His truck ran onto the shoulder and collided with another semi that was parked there. Hausenfluck’s truck rolled over and hit an embankment.
Emergency responders rushed Hausenfluck to Reading Hospital, where he died at 1:31 a.m. on Saturday.
