YORK CO., PA – State police say two people died as the result of a multi-vehicle accident that happened on I-83 in York County overnight.
CBS21 reports that the crash happened near exit 10 at about 10 p.m. on May 28.
Police say that 75-year-old Deborah Williams was driving against traffic when she collided head-on with 41-year-old Crystal Pasquale’s vehicle. The two vehicles subsequently hit a third car being driven by Brigid Stermel, 28, causing Pasquale’s vehicle to overturn.
Wayne Kendrick, 65, couldn’t avoid the wreck, adding a fourth vehicle to the pileup.
Williams and an unidentified passenger died at the scene.
Emergency responders took Pasquale and a juvenile passenger to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
Kendrick suffered seatbelt burns but declined transportation to a hospital, while Stermel was unhurt.
