WEST HEMPFIELD TWP PA – The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a woman who was killed in an accident on Route 23 on April 20.
WGAL reports that Nadine Saenen, 80, was the driver of one of the two vehicles that collided at the intersection of Marietta Avenue/PA-23 and Bridge Valley Road shortly after 10:20 a.m. Monday morning.
Emergency responders had to extricate the Providence Township resident from her vehicle. They declared her dead at the scene.
They transported the driver of the other vehicle and its sole occupant to an area hospital. We do not know what that person’s current condition is.
The crash, which closed traffic for several hours, remains under investigation.
