Baby injured when car slams into Lancaster Co. home

LNR General Accident 1

BRICKERVILLE, PA – A baby girl was injured late Tuesday evening when a car’s engine block crashed into her bedroom, CBS 21 reports.

Emergency responders were called to the scene at East 28th Division Highway and Hershey Road shortly before 7:30 p.m.

Police believe a speeding passenger vehicle hit a utility pole and then a tree, then overturned. The force of the crash dislodged its engine block, which crashed into the bedroom and knocked over a toy bin, which struck an 11-month-old girl in the head.

Emergency responders took the child to an area hospital. They believe her injuries are relativel minor.
