CUMBERLAND CO., PA – Four people were airlifted to area hospitals following a truck collision on I-76 in Cumberland County Friday.
CBS 21 reports that the crash happened near the Cumberland Service Plaza shortly before 8 a.m. on April 17.
The emergency response also included multiple ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles.
Authorities say that one person became trapped in their vehicle. It is unclear whether this person was among those airlifted from the scene.
As much as 70 miles of roadway was closed because of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains unclear at this time. We will provide updates if they become available.
