HARRISBURG, PA – Police have charged a woman for hitting and critically a child with her car and then fleeing the scene, CBS 21 reports.
Police responded to reports of a collision in the 2400 block of Derry Street Saturday night. They arrived to find an injured 11-year-old but not the vehicle that hit the child.
The child was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition. We do not know their current prognosis.
Police were able to track down the suspect vehicle and identify its driver as 36-year-old Tahirah Stewart. They arrested her on suspicion of felony accidents involving death or personal injury. She is currently out on an unsecured $5,000 bond.
