UPDATE: Victim of pedestrian accident at Sheetz identified

LANCASTER CO., PA – Authorities have identified Daniel Sweeney, 75, as the man who was fatally struck by a semi-truck at a Sheetz location in Smoketown last Saturday.

This story updates our previous reporting.

According to CBS 21, a semi-truck driven by a 30-year-old from Enola struck Sweeney as he was walking through the the parking lot of the Sheetz location near the Smoketown Airport.

The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office declared Sweeney dead at the scene.

We do not know whether the Enola man will face charges.
