Crash on I-78 in Lebanon Co. sends child to hospital

LEBANON CO., PA – An 11-year-old child was hospitalized Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash on I-78 in Lebanon County.

ABC 27 reports that at about 7:45 a.m., the driver of a westbound 2018 Tesla Model S lost control of the vehicle in heavy rain. The Tesla swerved across the roadway, ran onto the right-hand shoulder, hit an embankment, and then crashed into a pair of trees.

The 11-year-old passenger suffered head injuries in the crash. Life Lion EMS rushed the child to Hershey Medical Center.

ABC 27 did not say where exactly the crash took place.
